According to sources via the outlet, he has landed the male lead in the new series.

Amandla Steinberg is set for the other lead role, as previously reported, and Jodie Turner-Smith is also joining the cast.

The Acolyte is described as a mystery-thriller that will take viewers into a galaxy of shadowy secrets and emerging Dark Side powers in the final days of the High Republic era. In the Star Wars universe, “acolyte” can refer to individuals with Force abilities who learn from a more experienced Sith Lord.
