Brad Pitt Prepares For Formula One Movie By Attending Practice Sessions Ahead Of F1 Grand Prix

Brad Pitt is getting ready to star in a movie about Formula One racing by immersing himself in the environment.

The 58-year-old Bullet Train star attended practice sessions at the Circuit of The Americas on Friday (October 21) in Austin, Texas. According to the Austin American-Statesman, he was very close to the racecars as he got to spend time in the McLaren garage.

Brad had a pair of protective earphones on in some photos and wore a lanyard around his neck.

He also reportedly met with team bosses from the sport to discuss plans for their movie, according to Autosport. The meeting was reportedly focused on technology that can be used in the film.

Variety confirmed that Apple Original Films picked up the movie back in June. It will be directed by Joseph Kosinski and produced by Jerry Buckheimer and F1 champion Lewis Hamilton. Brad‘s production company Plan B Entertainment will also be involved.

Although the movie doesn’t currently have a title or release date, the outlet reported that the premise stems around Brad playing a retired driver who comes back to the sport. The project will reportedly feature real cars as much as possible.

This isn’t the first time Brad has attended F1 events. He, George Clooney and Matt Damon attended the Formula One Monaco Grand Prix in May of 2004 and posed for photos together. Check out photos of the outing in the gallery below.
