Antonio Banderas Taps Tom Holland as Potential Successor In 'Zorro' Movies

Antonio Banderas trusts co-star Tom Holland so much that he would let him take on one of his iconic roles.

The 62-year-old Puss in Boots: The Last Wish star appeared alongside the 26-year-old Spider-Man actor in Uncharted earlier this year.

During a recent interview, Antonio was asked if he was interested in reprising his role as Zorro in a follow-up to 1998′s The Mask of Zorro. He explained that he would be interested but would want to hand the mantle on to another star – Tom.

Antonio told ComicBook that Tom would be a great fit for the role.

“I did Uncharted with him and he’s so energetic and fun and he’s got this spark, too. Why not,” he said.

The decision would mirror how he took over the role from Anthony Hopkins back in the ’90s, which Antonio thought would be the right way to do another movie in the franchise.
