James Gunn Speaks to Rumor He's Replacing Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman

New DC head James Gunn is offering up a clarification about Gal Gadot and her future as Wonder Woman.

There are some DC Universe fans who were not happy to hear that Henry Cavill would actually not be returning to portray Superman in a future movie after he was confirmed to return just a few months ago. The reason why Henry will not participate in future Superman movies is because the new iteration of Superman will focus on the Man of Steel’s early days.

Now, a fan rumor is circulating that other DC characters will be recast, too. One fan wrote in James Gunn‘s Instagram comments, “Cannot wait to see what you’re cooking up… That being said the move to boot Cavill and Gadot (especially after they’d announced their return) doesn’t inspire confidence.”

There had never been any official word from James about Gal‘s future as Wonder Woman, so he quickly responded.

James responded to that fan, “I’m not sure where you’re getting that we ‘booted’ Gal.” There has been some news about the third Wonder Woman movie.
