Zendaya Wins Her First Golden Globe at 2023 Ceremony, but She Missed the Show

Zendaya picked up a win at the 2023 Golden Globes. However, she wasn’t in the audience to receive her trophy.

The 26-year-old Spider-Man actress beat out the competition to take home her first ever Golden Globe in the Best Actress in a Drama Series category for her work on Euphoria.

Other nominees included Hilary Swank for Alaska Daily, Imelda Staunton for The Crown, Laura Linney for Ozark and Emma D’Arcy for House of the Dragon. This also marks Zendaya‘s first nomination at the awards show.

Last year she won Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series at the 2022 Emmy Awards for her work on Euphoria. She previously won the same award at the 2020 ceremony, making her the youngest two-time winner in Emmy history!

Her first win was also historic as she became the youngest actress to ever win in the category at the Emmys.
