JoJo Announces Broadway Debut With Role in 'Moulin Rouge' - See When She'll Take the Stage & Who She'll be Playing

JoJo is headed to Broadway!

The 32-year-old “Too Little Too Late” pop star hopped on social media to reveal that she was making her Broadway debut in a limited number of performances of Moulin Rouge.

She’s set to take over the role of Satine from Ashley Loren, and JoJo‘s first performance in the role is only a couple of weeks away.

“Truth. Beauty. Freedom. Love,” JoJo wrote on Instagram on Thursday (February 23).

“So I can’t believe I’m finally able to say this… I’m making my Broadway debut in MOULIN ROUGE ❗️❗️❗️ When I first saw this musical I fell instantly head over heels in love. I watched from the edge of my seat, hanging onto every word of every song,” she gushed.

She continued, writing “This show is a full on feast for the senses and the opportunity to play Satine feels like the culmination of so many dreams. I cannot believe I get to join this phenomenal cast and company!!!! You guys blow me away!!!”

JoJo shouted out Ashley, who she said “SLAYS as Satine.”

“Thank you to the amazing producers and directorial staff for believing in me like you do. Performing on Broadway and living in NYC?! This is all a dream come true. I know this show means so much to so many and I promise to put all I have into every single night as Satine,” she continued.

Her first performance in the role is scheduled for April 11. Her last is currently scheduled for July 16. You can pick up tickets and see the rest of the dates here.

2023 might be the year that we get more original music from JoJo, too. Her last studio album Good to Know arrived in 2020 and an EP followed the next year.
