The singer was reportedly banned from China after being seen wearing the Taiwan flag during a concert in Taipei, which angered Chinese authorities. She also wore a sunflower gown – and the sunflower is a symbol of the Sunflower Student Movement, which protested a Chinese trade agreement in 2014, via NME.
