Elijah Wood Reacts to Plans for Future 'Lord of the Rings' Movies

Elijah Wood is opening up about the future of the Lord of the Rings franchise.

Earlier this year Warner Bros. announced plans to continuing expanding the film franchise, which already includes the first trilogy that Elijah starred in. There has also been a series inspired by The Hobbit and television spin-off Rings of Power.

In a new interview, Elijah revealed how he is feeling about the series continuing to grow and expand.

“I’m fascinated and I’m excited,” the actor told GQ about the prospect of more movies. “I hope it’s good. I’m surprised — I don’t know why I’m surprised because, of course there would be more movies.”

A second season of Rings of Power is already in the works, with filming being paused earlier this month after a fire broke out on set.
