Back in 2016, before getting sole custody, Jon revealed that he didn’t actually know where Collin was, but Kate had allegedly told him he was at a “special school for special needs kids with behavioral problems.”

Kate had custody of Collin at the time, but lost custody of him in 2018.

“After being there, I didn’t have a relationship with her,” Collin told ET of his time at the institution in an interview given in 2022. ”Even before [being] there, I don’t think we had much of a relationship and I think that just kept tearing it even more down.”
