'Bob Hearts Abishola' Season 5: 11 Stars Bumped to Recurring Status, Only 2 to Remain Series Regulars

Gina Yashere portrays Kemi on Bob ❤️ Abishola, CBS’ smash hit comedy.

If you don’t know, Gina is actually the co-showrunner, co-creator, and producer on the show. According to a new report, Gina is one of 11 cast members who have been offered recurring status with a five-episode guarantee. When CBS renewed Bob ❤️ Abishola for a fifth season, they revealed there will only be 13 episodes in the season. There is potential that Gina could be in more than five episodes as well.

In addition, the studio (CBS) is also waiving exclusivity on Gina‘s contract. This means that she’s free to pursue other television work during the season as well.

With the actor’s guild strike happening simultaneously with the writer’s strike, it looks like it may be a while before new episodes of Bob ❤️ Abishola return. However, when it does, expect to see Gina on 5 episodes (possibly more or possibly less, too).
