Mauricio Umansky & Emma Slater React to Dating Rumors After Being Spotted Holding Hands

Mauricio Umansky and Emma Slater are setting the record straight about their relationship!

The real estate mogul and the pro dancer have been partnered up and working together on the current season of Dancing With the Stars.

After dancing with each other for six weeks now, they were spotted out to dinner in Beverly Hills, Calif., and they were photographed holding hands while leaving the restaurant, sparking rumors and speculation that they’re dating.

Now, Mauricio and Emma are speaking out about the status of their relationship and addressing those photos.

“For full clarity, we are not dating. We are really good friends,” Mauricio says in an Instagram story. “We’ve been dancing together now for six weeks, four hours a day, every single day.”

“Guys, it’s intense. You really form a very, very special bond. I think we’re similar personalities, so we’ve got a super supportive, and last week was extremely emotional, so super supportive relationship. We’re definitely there for each other, and it’s beautiful. That’s a great thing,” Emma adds.

As for them holding hands?

“Just to clarify, we went to a restaurant to go get some sushi right after rehearsal, we were in our rehearsal clothes. Lots of the stories are wrong,” Mauricio shared. “Yes, we had a very, it’s an intense week. We had an emotional week. We were talking about the week during dinner, and when we came out of the dinner, we were recapping and I reached out to grab Emma‘s hand, and she grabbed my hand.”

“Then we walked to the cars, just recapping, summarizing, and then the paparazzi caught that moment and it’s become a blown out moment,” he added.

Just the night before, Mauricio‘s wife Kyle Richards, from whom he’s currently separated from, shared on Watch What Happens Live how hurt she was by seeing those photos online.
