Here's Why 'Euphoria' Won't Be Around for That Long
The first season of HBO’s new hit series Euphoria will end this coming weekend and while it’s already renewed for season two, don’t expect many more seasons.
HBO president Casey Bloys says that he doesn’t imagine the show, which stars Zendaya, lasting for a long time because it takes place in high school.
“Well, [the characters] are in high school, so there are only so many seasons it can go,” he told TV Line. “There’s a time limit.”
“We’ll follow [series creator Sam Levinson’s] lead on that,” he said in response to a question about a series end date. “There is no set plan. But I don’t think you want 30-year-olds playing [high school students].”
