Matthew McConaughey Joins Faculty at University of Texas at Austin!
Matthew McConaughey is heading back to college!
The 49-year-old Oscar-winning actor has joined the faculty at his alma mater The University of Texas at Austin. Matt graduated from UT Austin with a film degree in 1993.

Matt will be teaching the Script to Screen class for the Moody College of Communication.
Matt has been a visiting professor at the university since 2015.
The university announced the news of Matt becoming a professor on Twitter on Wednesday (August 28) along with a photo of Matt and several students in a classroom.
“In recognition of his professional pedigree and personal investment in student success, Matthew McConaughey has been appointed a #TEXASMoody professor of practice,” the tweet read. “@McConaughey will continue to teach the #UTScriptoScreen class in @UTRTF.”
