Madison Cawthorn's Tweet Raises Eyebrows After He Becomes Youngest Member of Congress

Madison Cawthorn, a 25-year-old Republican candidate, won his election and is now the youngest member of Congress. After his race was called in his favor, he tweeted something that is raising eyebrows.

“Cry more, lib,” he tweeted, seemingly to troll the Democrats who he defeated to win a seat in North Carolina.

If you didn’t know, Madison was paralyzed from the waist down after being involved in a car accident at the age of 18. He caused a lot of controversy this summer when his Instagram posts from a visit to Adolf Hitler‘s vacation home in Germany were discovered. He called the trip a “bucket list” moment.

Madison was also accused of sexual misconduct by a girl he dated when he was 19. He responded to the claim and said, “I did try and kiss her just very normal, just in a flirtatious way.”
