The Good Place‘s Jameela Jamil uninvited conservative commentator Candace Owens from appearing on her podcast, and it all went down on social media.
It began when Candace reacted to a headline that read, “Transgender man gives birth to non-binary partner’s baby with female sperm donor.” Candace reposted the article on her Twitter and wrote, “Woman gives birth to partner’s baby with male sperm donor. There. I fixed it for you.”
Jameela saw Candace‘s tweet and responded, “OR… Nice to see a young couple in love, have a happy little baby. Their gender is none of my business, worrying about it and mocking them is a pointless waste of time, (it’s just bullying) and they are hurting nobody. I wish them well. There I fixed it for you.”
Candace was supposed to appear on Jameela‘s podcast in the new year to discuss abortion.
However, due to Candace‘s reaction to that article, Jameela revoked her invitation by contacting Candace‘s rep.
“Gina, Sorry. We have a trans people working with us. I can’t have candace on the podcast anymore,” Jameela wrote. “You are both free to say whatever you like about this publicly. I’m sure you will have an entertaining spin. But nothing is worth my friends and coworkers feeling unsafe.”
Candace then posted Jameela‘s message on Twitter.
SAD TO ANNOUNCE that @jameelajamil has revoked my invitation to her podcast bc I tweeted “only women can give birth”. Apparently the statement made her trans co-workers feel “unsafe”.
My refusal to untether myself from biological realities has cost me, yet again.
Noelle Sheldon, one of the twins who played baby Emma, daughter of Rachel (Jennifer Aniston) and Ross (David Schwimmer) on Friends, rang in the New Year with one of the popular show’s jokes.
In the episode “The One With the Cake” from Season 10, which originally aired in 2003, Ross and Rachel ask their friends to record messages for their daughter to watch on her 18th birthday.
Monica (Courteney Cox) and Chandler (Matthew Perry) were impatient to leave for a vacation, and left a quick message.
“Hi, Emma. It’s the year 2020. Are you still enjoying your nap?” Chandler said in his message.
“We’re Aunt Monica and Uncle Chandler, by the way — you may not recognize us because we haven’t spoken to your parents in 17 years!” added Monica.
“We used to be married but then we missed a weekend away together and things kind of unraveled … Because of you!” Chandler went on to say.
“Just woke up from the best nap of all time, happy 2020!! (ft. my poorly done photoshop). Hope everyone has an excellent year full of family, friends, and laughter!!” Noelle wrote on her Instagram.

Bachelor host Chris Harrison is teasing the ending to Peter Weber‘s season of The Bachelor, and it’s apparently one wild season with a “turbulent ending.”
“[His three-hour premiere] is definitely an indication of what’s happened and what’s to come, which is: I don’t think there’s ever again going to be a ‘traditional’ show. I think those days are long gone. It is a turbulent, wild, emotional, gut-wrenching ride right up until the very end. You won’t predict how this comes to a conclusion,” Chris Harrison teased in an interview with THR.
Chris continued, “It’s a wild, turbulent ending. You won’t predict how this comes to a conclusion. It’s not one of those endings where you go, ‘Oh, this is the one. And this is this great, crazy long love story and she’s always been the one since the beginning. And it’s so simple and beautiful.’ It’s a wild ride. It is a turbulent, wild, emotional, gut-wrenching ride right up until the very end.”
