Carrie Underwood Breaks Her Own Record at CMT Awards 2020

Carrie Underwood is continuing her streak as the most winningest musician at the 2020 CMT Awards.

The 37-year-old picked up another trophy at the show for Female Video of the Year for “Drinking Alone” and Video of the Year for the same song.

This brings her running total of awards to 22.

“Um, oh, my gosh. Thank you so much. Thank you CMT,” Carrie shared in her acceptance speech. “Thank you fans so much for voting. It means so much to me and just lets me know that you’re still doing what you do, which is giving the love.”

She added, “Thank you fans. Just thank you, I don’t deserve you.”

Carrie has won Female Video of the Year for the past five years.

Kelly Clarkson is opening up about the awkward moment when a fan thought she was fellow American Idol winner Carrie Underwood.

On the latest episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show, the singer and her guests, Michelle Buteau and Cheryl Hines opened up about the awkward moments in their life and for Kelly, it was when she was confused for Carrie.

“This girl came up to me and was like, ‘Oh my god, your song ‘So Small’ is one of my favorites,’” Kelly recalled of the moment. “And I kept thinking, ‘I don’t have a song ‘So Small.’ And then she said another song and I was like, ‘Oh, you think I’m Carrie Underwood.’”

She laughed about the confusion, saying that she looks “nothing like Carrie Underwood. I was so embarrassed for her that I just…She was like, ‘Can you sign this?’ And I totally signed ‘Carrie Underwood.’ I think that might be illegal!”

Carrie Underwood Revealed What Her Son Isaiah Wants To Be For Halloween This Year

Isaiah Fisher, Carrie Underwood and Mike Fisher‘s 5-year-old son, knows exactly what he wants to dress up as for Halloween.

During a recent interview Radio.com’s Katie & Company, the 37-year-old country singer opened up and revealed that he wants to be Oogie Boogie!

If you don’t know, Oogie Boogie is the the bug-infested, dice-throwing villain from The Nightmare Before Christmas.

However, Carrie has been running into some trouble finding the costume.

“I’m having some trouble finding that costume, only because it’s for adults,” she shared. “Lord help us if I have to make ‘Ooogie Boogie.’”

Carrie added that she might have to stitch one together herself for him.

“Maybe I’ll get a potato sack-type of situation, a burlap sack. Maybe I can make one out of that, I’m not sure. Wish me luck!”

For years, after premiering a new album, Carrie has stopped by a local store and picked up a copy of the record, and this year was no different. But, she did add a little twist.

“As per tradition, had to go buy the CD at the store!” she captioned on Instagram. “As not per tradition, I had to wear a mask! I promise I’m smiling, though! @Target #2020Man #MyGift 🎁✨”

Carrie Underwood‘s five-year-old son Isaiah Fisher is making his music debut on her brand new Christmas album, My Gift!

The 37-year-old country singer just dropped the album and it features Isaiah singing alongside her on the classic song “Little Drummer Boy.”

Carrie just announced today that she is going to be making a Christmas special that will air on HBO Max this holiday season. We sure hope that she will sing her number with Isaiah!

Carrie Underwood Christmas Special Coming to HBO Max!

Carrie Underwood is getting into the holiday spirit!

The 37-year-old “Before He Cheats” country superstar announced on Thursday (September 24) that an exclusive holiday special is coming to HBO Max, where she’ll be performing songs from her full-length Christmas album, My Gift, out on Friday (September 25).

HBO Max will debut the special this holiday season, although a specific date has not yet been announced.

She will appear with a live orchestra and choir, performing “a combination of beloved traditional favorites celebrating the spiritual nature of the holiday, as well as new original material from the highly-anticipated album.”

“The journey of writing and recording this album started last year when I finished my tour and we could have never anticipated the circumstances we would be in this year. Creating this album has been good for my heart, and I’m thrilled to get to share it with the world and to bring it to life with Playtone and HBO Max,” Carrie said in a statement.

The holiday event is set to shoot this fall.

Carrie Underwood won the award for Entertainer of the Year (alongside Thomas Rhett) and during her acceptance speech, she forgot to thank three very important people!

“First I want to say that I’m a dummy for not mentioning my husband or my children in my acceptance speech,” Carrie said in a virtual press conference after the show about her husband Mike Fisher and their sons Isaiah Fisher, 5, and Jacob Fisher, 1. “You would think after this many years of seeing other people do speeches and give some of my own, I would think of people that are important to me, so I’m sorry! But I do love my children and my husband.”
