Charlamagne Tha God stopped by The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Tuesday night (October 23) and revealed why he decided to cancel a public event with Kanye West.

“Me and Kanye have a relationship,” the 40-year-old radio host and author explained to Stephen. “Not as close as him and Trump, but we have a relationship. Every interview that he’s done over the past couple of years, including the interview I did with him earlier this year, he’s always talking about his mental health. He’s always talking about being bipolar; being on medication. I felt like everybody was bypassing that conversation.”

Charlamagne were scheduled for a New York Times Talk to discuss their battles with mental health. The talk, which was promoting Charlamagne‘s new book, Shook One: Anxiety Playing Tricks on Me, was canceled shortly after Kanye‘s last visit to the White House.

“When I saw him in the White House he said he wasn’t on his meds, he got misdiagnosed, and it was sleep deprivation,” Charlamagne added. “So I was just like, ‘I think he needs to figure that out.’ What I’m trying to do, which is elevate the conversation about mental health in the black community and trying to eradicate the stigma around mental health, I just didn’t think it would be a good conversation. It’d be a distraction.”

Wiz Khalifa is not into biting bananas.

The 30-year-old Rolling Papers 2 rapper opened up an interview on The Breakfast Club by explaining his fruit-eating etiquette on Tuesday (July 17).

“You gotta break it in half. If you bite a banana, you sus,” he explained.

“You a n–a? If you a n–a, n–as gotta break the banana in half, pause…that’s the thing. You got to break it in pieces, bro.”

Charlamagne tha God then countered with: “Why?! It’s just a fruit!”

Azealia Banks is speaking out.

The 26-year-old “212″ rapper made an appearance on The Breakfast Club Show, which aired on Friday (May 11).

During her appearance, Azealia expressed her honest feelings about Cardi B and RZA, as well as Breakfast Club co-host Charlamagne tha God. She also discusses her new music, as well as her own artistry.

“I think nowadays, in all of the entertainment industries, things get really homogenized. It’s kind of just a way to see things differently, rather than just ‘pop star, pop star, pop star,’” she said of her occasionally controversial pop culture commentary.

“It’s kind of a way to keep myself entertained so I’m not actually consuming the fodder.”

Kanye West just shared more screen shots of text messages between him and his friends.

Earlier today (April 30), Kanye posted a message he received from a person named Steve, who told Kanye that “Abe Lincoln freed and protected the slaves and he was Republican.”

John Legend and Charlamagne tha God both texted Kanye to let him know that the information he posted was incorrect.

If you don’t know, Kanye shared more messages between him and John last week regarding Donald Trump.
