Stephen Collins & Faye Grant Settle Their Divorce

Stephen Collins and Faye Grant have settled their divorce after one of the nastiest fights in court for a celebrity split in recent memory.

The settlement states that every copy of the audio confession to child molestation claims that Stephen made must be destroyed, except for the original. The original copy will be sent to his lawyer who will keep it locked for the next ten years unless there’s a subpoena for it, according to TMZ.

The couple will be splitting their net worth of $14 million in a near 50/50 split.

The settlement comes after the former couple and their lawyers spent the last four days hammering out a deal to avoid a public trial set for February 9.

Stephen Collins Will Not Be Prosecuted for Molestation Cases

Stephen Collins will not be prosecuted in the child molestation cases being investigated by both the NYPD and the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department, according to TMZ.

The 67-year-old 7th Heaven actor allegedly confessed to the crimes to his wife Faye Grant in an audio released earlier this month, though all three cases are decades old and statute of limitations will bar prosecution from moving forward.

While Faye alleges that Stephen molested a child as recently as when he was filming 7th Heaven, no victim has come forward to back up that claim.

The molestation case will be brought up in court when Stephen and Faye face each other in their divorce trial next month. She plans to bring up the issue because she wants to make sure her portion of their assets is protected in the event one of the victims files a suit against him. He also will bring up the case because he claims she tried to extort him by using the audio tape.

Stephen Collins' Estranged Wife Faye Grant Denies Extortion Claims

Faye Grant, the estranged wife of Stephen Grant, is firing back at his lawyer’s comments that she had been extorting money from him by hanging his molestation confession audio over his head.

However, Faye‘s lawyer Marty Singer, is firing back, saying the claims are untrue, adding that she had never received more than her fair share.

Faye never asked to receive more than the 50% of the community property to which she is entitled,” Marty told TMZ. Additionally, Marty says the extortion claim is not true.

Stephen Collins' Lawyer Releases Statement, Says Faye Grant Tried to Extort Him with Audio Tape

Stephen Collins‘ lawyer is breaking his silence following the release of an audio tape in which his client confesses to allegedly molesting children.

The lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan, says that Stephen‘s estranged wife Faye Grant has tried to use the tape in the past to extort money out of him.

“Over the course of my representation of Stephen in the divorce case, Faye has repeatedly threatened to give this audiotape to the media unless Stephen agreed to pay her millions of dollars more than that to which she was legally entitled,” Mark said in a statement to TMZ.

“When these demands were rebuffed, Faye attempted — without success — to peddle the tape in numerous ways to numerous different people. It appears that she has finally found an audience for this tape — not surprisingly, on the eve of the trial in the divorce case where, again, she is seeking millions of dollars more than that to which she is legally entitled,” he added. “Though we would like to address the tape itself, the circumstances dictate that we must regrettably refrain from doing so at this time.”

Police were called to Stephen‘s home on Tuesday evening after false reports of a single gunshot and suicide attempt were reported.

Stephen Collins' Divorce Papers Detail History of Child Molestation Claims

Stephen Collins‘ alleged history of child molestation was detailed in the divorce papers that his estranged wife Faye Grant filed back in 2012, according to documents obtained by E! News.

Faye says in the papers that in January 2012 she “learned for the first time that Stephen had been engaging in a long term pattern of sexually molesting children.”

The papers stated that Stephen “admitted that he had sexually molested three underage girls over a decade ago; at least two of the three girls were molested over the course of several years. At least one of the victims has filed a report with the New York City Special Victims Unit.”

“Obviously I am sickened by Stephen‘s actions. I have spent the past 20 months coping with the trauma of learning about Stephen‘s illness and worrying about my moral and legal responsibility,” Faye stated in the filings. “I have urged Stephen multiple times to seek proper treatment for pedophilia. I am particularly afraid of what may happen if he does not seek treatment, because he may be working or interacting with children in connection with his employment.”

Stephen‘s therapist said that he has “narcissistic personality disorder with sociopathic tendencies,” according to the documents.

After the audio tape of Stephen‘s confession was made public, Faye released a statement saying she had no part in releasing it to the world.

Stephen Collins' Estranged Wife Faye Grant Breaks Her Silence on His Sexual Molestation Audio

Stephen Collins‘ estranged wife Faye Grant has broken her silence about her ex’s audio where he confesses to molesting young girls.

“I woke up today to learn that an extremely private recording I handed over to the authorities in 2012 per their request in connection with a criminal investigation was recently disseminated to the press. I had no involvement whatsoever with the release of the tape to the media,” Faye told E! News.

Additionally, Faye told TMZ she is “sickened by Stephen’s actions. I have urged Stephen multiple times to seek treatment for pedophilia, but he has refused to seek proper help or hospitalization for the predilection toward children.”
