Becca Kufrin is breaking her silence on her fiance Garrett Yrigoyen‘s support of the police amid the police brutality protests across the nation after George Floyd‘s murder.

If you missed it, Garrett posted, “With so many friends and family in law enforcement I couldn’t sit back and not support them and the hundreds of thousands of men and women of all races that represent this Thin Blue Line as well. It’s important for me to recognize the ones who stand in the gap and put their lives on the line each and every single day for humans of different race and ethnicity, including those who hate them. The Thin Blue Line represents each officer protecting protestors, properties, and businesses while being threatened, attacked, shot, shot at, hit with vehicles, and other forms of brutality. There have been over 300 injured, shot, or killed in just one week. They are suffering the consequences over an act they didn’t commit.”

“Remember when they put on the badge they’re still humans, with raw emotion, the more brutality they face the more on edge they become, they make mistakes, they have compassion, and no matter how terrible they are treated or whatever negative is said to them, they still show up for us when we need them! Remember these men and women who hold this Thin Blue Line; strangers, friends, family, neighbors, or your enemies. They will always be out there protecting us, no matter what!” he added.

Becca responded on the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast.

“Garrett is my fiancé and I love him and to his core, I believe that he is a good person,” Becca said. “I don’t align with and I don’t agree with” his social media post.

“I don’t think he meant it in a malicious way,” she added. “I do think it was tone-deaf, and it was the wrong time and message and sentiment.”

Rachel Lindsay added on the podcast, “To me, this is what Garrett thinks, this is what Garrett is. He posted a black box. He never said ‘black lives matter.’ He posted fists of every color, which to me is like, ‘Everybody, all lives.’ And then the very next post is the ‘thin blue line’ with a heartfelt, thought-out caption that he said with his chest. And to me, that is what you feel, and that is what you believe. I don’t think Garrett is malicious, but Garrett is what the problem is.”

Rachel just called out The Bachelor franchise for lack of inclusion and diversity.

Garrett Yrigoyen, who won the 2018 season of The Bachelorette and is still engaged to Becca Kufrin, is speaking out in support of the police.

A couple days after he posted to Instagram in support of Blackout Tuesday, Garrett posted a lengthy message on social media about supporting police.

“I’ve been pretty tore up the past week about everything going on. I’ve listened, learned, helped, supported, and grown. With so many friends and family in law enforcement I couldn’t sit back and not support them and the hundreds of thousands of men and women of all races that represent this Thin Blue Line as well,” Garrett wrote. “It’s important for me to recognize the ones who stand in the gap and put their lives on the line each and every single day for humans of different race and ethnicity, including those who hate them.”

They continue to put in overtime away from their families, stay silent while being threatened, hated, and assaulted.”

“We can’t judge an entire group of people by the actions of a few. We can’t judge the peaceful protesters by the actions of the few violent protesters, and we sure can’t judge all cops by the actions of a few bad ones,” Garrett said. “Remember when they put on the badge they’re still humans, with raw emotion, the more brutality they face the more on edge they become, they make mistakes, they have compassion, and no matter how terrible they are treated or whatever negative is said to them, they still show up for us when we need them! Remember these men and women who hold this Thin Blue Line; strangers, friends, family, neighbors, or your enemies. They will always be out there protecting us, no matter what!”

Becca will be joining fellow The Bachelorette star Rachel Lindsay to “discuss our country’s current state, viewpoints, and how we can all move forward to implement change” on their podcast today.

Garrett faced a lot of criticism in 2018 after he had liked some controversial posts on social media.

The 30-year-old reality star, who won the last season of The Bachelorette, was the special guest host of the show for one night only.

Garrett had Becca join him on stage at one point during the show and he gave her a lap dance in front of the audience!

While he didn’t strip down as much as the other dancers, Garrett ripped off his shirt during the show, which you can see in the photo gallery.

Joining Becca in the crowd were her fellow The Bachelor co-stars Tia Booth and Caroline Lunney.

Becca Kufrin and her new fiance Garrett Yrigoyen are all smiles while appearing at the Build Series to talk about their engagement on Tuesday (August 7) in New York City.

A scene that fans didn’t get to see during the season finale of The Bachelorette last night was Becca reuniting with her ex-fiance Arie Luyendyk Jr.

“The conversation was brief and it was fine,” Becca told Us Weekly on Tuesday. “It was really just us wishing each other the best and moving on in our lives.”

Becca says feels “indifferent” about the scene getting deleted and added, “I’m [happy with] how the episode was portrayed and showing my journey at finding love with the other two guys that were left.”

Becca Kufrin and her new fiance Garrett Yrigoyen have made their choice as to who they believe should be the next Bachelor!

The pair made an appearance on Good Morning America on Tuesday (August 7), and joked with Michael Strahan, “I mean, I would say Jordan [Kimball] for his one-liners,” Becca joked, to which Garrett replied, “Or Leo [Dottavio], for his good hair.”

Then, Becca said, “I have a soft spot for Jason [Tartick]. I think he’s so charismatic, he would be so open to all of the girls on the journey.”

“I think Jason would be great,” Garrett added.

Becca Kufrin and Garrett Yrigoyen are all smiles as they arrive in Times Square to make an appearance on Good Morning America on Tuesday morning (August 7) in New York City.

The evening before, Becca and her new fiancé Garrett hit Jimmy Kimmel Live following The Bachelorette season finale, and host Jimmy put their relationship to the test to see how well they really know each other in a game of “Fiancé My Name.”

The only question that threw them off was when they were asked to name each others’ high school.

During the reunion part of the finale of The Bachelorette, Garrett Yrigoyen and his new fiancee Becca Kufrin addressed the controversial posts that he liked on Instagram before he went on the show.

“I put out an apology. I didn’t mean to offend anyone. I apologize for that still. I’m very sorry. I didn’t mean to hurt anyone’s feelings or do anything like that,” Garrett said. “I stand by everything I posted in my apology and I’m just trying to grow as a person and be a better person on a daily basis. She’s helping me through everything. We’ve been honest and open and transparent with one another since the beginning and when all that came out, we attacked it because I feel like, when I was liking things, it was going against what she stands for. And that made it really hard on us as a couple. We got through that and we’re growing, we’re progressing, and we’re moving forward.”
