Imelda Staunton has joined the cast of the upcoming Downton Abbey movie!

The Oscar-nominated actress joins the original principal cast of the television series, which includes her husband Jim Carter as Charles Carson. The couple has been married since 1983.

Principal photography is about to begin on the upcoming movie and it was just announced that more cast additions include Geraldine James, Simon Jones, David Haig, Tuppence Middleton, Kate Phillips, and Stephen Campbell Moore.

The original cast of the TV series is returning for the film, which has a screenplay by series creator Julian Fellowes.

Emma Thompson is all smiles as she rocks a suit at the BBC screening of her upcoming film King Lear held at The Soho Hotel on Wednesday (March 28) in London, England.

The 58-year-old actress was joined at the event by her co-stars Florence Pugh, Karl Johnson, Jim Carter, Andrew Scott and Anthony Calf, as well as the film’s producers Sonia Friedman and Colin Callender, and director Richard Eyre.

King Lear will premiere on BBC Two in the UK in 2018 with Amazon Studios co-producing and taking U.S. and German rights. Amazon Prime Video will also air the drama in the UK, following the BBC’s run.

The leading ladies were joined at the event by their co-stars Allen Leech, Hugh Bonneville, Jim Carter, Kevin Doyle, and Phyllis Logan, as well as producers Gareth Neame and Susanne Simpson.

Salma Hayek leaves little to the imagination while stepping out for the 2015 Evening Standard Theatre Awards held at The Old Vic Theatre on Sunday (November 22) in London, England.

The 49-year-old actress was joined on the carpet by The Affair‘s Ruth Wilson and Dominic West, in addition to Sir Ian McKellen, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Judi Dench, and Anna Wintour.

The cast of Downton Abbey are all dressed up while attending their official Downton Abbey Wrap Party held at The Ivy on Saturday (August 15) in London, England.

In attendance at the event were Laura Carmichael, Michelle Dockery, Lily James, Elizabeth McGovern, Allen Leech, Hugh Bonneville, Lesley Nicol, Jim Carter, Phyllis Logan, Samantha Bond and Sophie McShera.

The day after, the Downton Abbey cast got dressed into their characters on set of the show to start filming the final scenes in London.

Hugh Bonneville is dapper in a suit while attending the 2015 Downton Abbey Gala Dinner held at the Landmark Hotel on Wednesday (June 24) in London, England.

The 51-year-old actor was joined by his Downton Abbey co-stars Sophie McShera, Joanne Froggatt, Jim Carter, Michael Fox, Phyllis Logan, Raquel Cassidy, Rob James-Collier, Penelope Wilton, and writer/producer Julian Fellowes.

The event was held to help raise funds for Great Britain’s Special Olympics, which will help transform the lives of children and adults with intellectual disabilities through sport.
