The Jeffersons is coming back to television for a one-night only special on ABC and some of today’s hottest stars will be taking over the iconic roles.

Jamie Foxx is leading the cast as George Jefferson and some of the other stars you can expect to see include Kerry Washington and Will Ferrell.

ABC’s Live in Front of a Studio Audience special is bringing back legendary producer Norman Lear‘s All in the Family as well. Make sure to check out that cast as well!

The historic event, co-hosted by Jimmy Kimmel, will take viewers down memory lane, recreating an original episode from each of Lear‘s shows All in the Family and The Jeffersons.

Make sure to tune in tonight (May 22) at 8/7c on ABC.

Jimmy Kimmel and television icon Norman Lear are hosting the event, which will be directed by 10-time Emmy winner James Burrows.

The historic event will take viewers down memory lane, recreating an original episode from each of Lear‘s shows All in the Family and The Jeffersons.

Jimmy Kimmel hits the red carpet with wife Molly McNearney at the American Film Institute’s 2018 Life Achievement Award Gala Tribute on Thursday (June 7) at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.

The 50-year-old late night host and his wife stepped out to support pal George Clooney – who was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award.

Other guests at the event included Bill Murray, Norman Lear, Don Cheadle and longtime love Bridgid Coulter, David Foster, and Richard Kind.

The 40th Kennedy Center Honors is airing tonight on CBS and we have all the details about the star-studded presentation.

This year, the five honorees are actress, dancer and choreographer Carmen de Lavallade, singer-songwriter and actress Gloria Estefan, hip hop artist LL Cool J, TV writer and producer Norman Lear, and musician and record producer Lionel Richie.

The event was pre-recorded on December 3 and features a full lineup of performers and presenters.

LL Cool J, Lionel Richie and Gloria Estefan were just honored in a major way!

The three stars, including American dancer and choreographer Carmen de Lavallade and American television writer and producer Norman Lear, were all recipients of the annual Kennedy Center Honors on Saturday (December 2) in Washington, D.C.

“The @KennedyCenter Honors Class of 2017. Truly Honored to be sharing this special moment with this group of extraordinary people. Congratulations to my fellow honorees!!! #KCHonors,” LL wrote on his Instagram.

Attendees at the Kennedy Center Artist’s Dinner hosted by United States Secretary of State Rex Tillerson included Kenneth “Babyface” and Nicole Edmonds, Julie Chen and Les Moonves, Eva Longoria and Anthony Anderson.

Carol Burnett and Norman Lear take the stage at the 2017 Emmy Awards held at the Microsoft Theater on Sunday (September 17) in Los Angeles.

The pair are both television legends – Carol, 84, has won and been nominated for several Emmys over the years and her show, The Carol Burnett show, won 22 Emmys while it was on the air. Norman, 95, is a successful producer, and has numerous Emmy wins for All in the Family in the 1970s, among others.

Moments ago, CBS revealed the honorees for the 2017 Kennedy Center Honors.

Each year, several figures are chosen for and recognized for their lifetime contributions to American culture through the performing arts .

This year, five entertainers were chosen for their contributions to the arts. You can watch the ceremony this year on December 26 at 9/8c on CBS. The ceremony will be pre-taped earlier in the month.
