Take a look at John Mayer‘s latest collaboration – this time, it’s with the Red Cross!

Not only has John donated his song “The Heart of Life” to the PSA, but he’s donated $500,000 via his Back to You Fund to go directly to the Red Cross.

“The Heart of Life” includes the lines, “pain throws your heart to the ground, love turns the whole thing around. No, it won’t all go the way it should but I know the heart of life is good.”

Jake Gyllenhaal leaves a restaurant in Hollywood after eating with his family on Friday night (January 29).

Earlier this month, the 29-year-old actor attended an L.A. Kings hockey game with his Prince of Persia producer Jerry Bruckheimer.

Jake recently made a PSA to help Haiti, which you can watch below. He teamed up with the Advertising Council and the Red Cross, along with ex Reese Witherspoon, Morgan Freeman, Tim McGraw and Meryl Streep.

Orlando Bloom has been appointed a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador, in recognition of his commitment to the rights of children around the world.

“I look forward to working with UNICEF as they continue to make the world a better place for children,” says the 32-year-old British actor who has already seen the work UNICEF is doing in Nepal, Russia, and Sarajevo. “UNICEF doesn’t just deliver humanitarian aid, which is what they are known for all over the world. They also educate and provide tools which help women and children face challenges specific to their own lives. I responded to how UNICEF works as much as I did to the work itself. I look forward to learning more and to supporting UNICEF any way I can.”

To celebrate 20 years of the Convention on the Rights of the Child, Orlando will, this week, record a PSA for UNICEF on the importance of clean and accessible drinking water.

Christina Aguilera shoots a public service announcement (PSA) for the Christian charity World Hunger Relief at Hollywood and Highland in Los Angeles on Wednesday (July 15).

Earlier in the day, the 28-year-old powerhouse singer was named the global spokesperson for WER, allowing Christina to continue raising awareness of the hunger issue. She will also get the message out by appearing on the World Hunger Relief web site, FromHungertoHope.com, and in other online hunger relief efforts. Christina‘s PSA will air this fall.

Nick Jonas kicks off National Diabetes Month by attending the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) Walk at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles on Saturday afternoon.

The youngest of the famed Jonas Brothers band, Nick, 16, has a partnership with Bayer Diabetes Care and families can log on to Nick’s Simple Wins where they can check out more about his personal experiences with the disease.

Leighton Meester (in Brian Reyes) teams up with family clothing store Marshalls on Thursday at New York City’s Union Square Park to take a stand against domestic violence.

The 22-year-old Gossip Girl cutie hyped up Marshalls’ “Stop ‘Til It Stops” campaign, which hopes to to provide support, prevent violence, and promote justice for victims of crime and abuse, their families and communities. As part of their annual “Shop Til It Stops” program, Marshalls will donate $1 (up to $150,0000), for every shoe purchased from October 2 to 16 to help put an end to domestic violence.

Gwyneth Paltrow filmed a public service announcement (PSA) for UNICEF to help raise money to prevent mother-to-child transmission of HIV.

The Gift is a dramatization of a new poem by Simon Armitage, narrated by actress Gwyneth. Watch the video at UNICEF.

“According to UNICEF, a baby is born with HIV almost every minute of every day somewhere in the world. The virus is passed from mother to child during the birth or pregnancy,” Gwyneth said during the film launch. “I have just found out that this can be prevented for less than $2 yet very few women in the poorer countries of the world can get the medicine they need to ensure their baby is born free from HIV. I hope that this new short film will raise awareness and funds about this issue and UNICEF will be able to reach every woman with the vital care and medicines they need.”
