Ted Cruz Drops Out of Presidential Race After Loss to Donald Trump

Ted Cruz has dropped out of the presidential race following a loss to Donald Trump at the Indiana Primary on Tuesday (May 3).

“I’ve said that I would continue on as long as there is a viable path to victory. Tonight, I’m sorry to say it appears that path has been foreclosed,” Cruz said that night (via Washington Post). “We gave it everything we’ve got. But the voters chose another path. And so with a heavy heart – but with boundless optimism, for the long-term future of our nation – we are suspending our campaign.”

Soon after, Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus stated on Twitter that Trump will now be the presumptive GOP nominee.

Presidential Candidates React, Respond to Brussels Terror Attacks

The Presidential candidates have been spending the morning reacting to the tragic Brussels terror attacks that occurred on Tuesday (March 22).

Democratic presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton, as well as Republican hopefuls Donald Trump, John Kasich, and Ted Cruz have all released statements. At the time of this publication, Democratic hopeful Bernie Sanders has not released a statement.

Hillary and Donald both separately appeared on talk shows this morning to comment on the events, which have claimed the lives of over 26 people, and injured hundreds of others.

Republican Candidates Can't Figure Out How to Walk On Stage at GOP Debate (Video)

The GOP debate on ABC got off to a rough start when the candidates had trouble walking onto the stage on Saturday night (February 6).

When Ben Carson was introduced, he missed his cue to walk onto the stage and caused a roadblock for the other candidates, including Donald Trump.

There was a mass of confusion while some candidates joined the crowd standing in the entrance way while others zoomed past and headed straight for the podium.

Ellen Page Confronts Ted Cruz About LGBT Rights (Video)

Ellen Page showed up at the Iowa State Fair on Friday morning (August 21) and grilled GOP presidential candidate Ted Cruz about the “persecution of gays in the workplace and LGBT rights.”

The 28-year-old actress is in town filming her Vice Media show Gaycation with Ellen Page and she spoke to Cruz for over five minutes, though he had no clue he was talking to an Oscar-nominated actress.

Ellen said that people are being fired for being gay or trans in today’s workplace.

“Well, what we’re seeing right now, we’re seeing Bible-believing Christians being persecuted for living according to their faith,” Ted responded. Ellen replied by saying, “You’re discriminating against LGBT people.”
