Tegan and Sara are set to have one of the most fun performances at the 2015 Academy Awards with their highly energetic song “Everything Is Awesome”!

The sisters will be joined on stage by their collaborators The Lonely Island, which consists of Andy Samberg, Jorma Taccone, and Akiva Schaffer. The song was written by Shawn Patterson and you can buy it on iTunes right now.

The song is one of five tracks nominated this evening for the Best Original Song award.

Tegan & Sara have just been announced as performers at the 2015 Oscars!

The twin sisters will joined by the comedy-music trio The Lonely Island during a performance of the Oscar-nominated song “Everything Is Awesome,” which is featured in The Lego Movie.

“MOST AWESOME? @TheAcademy has invited us to perform #EVERYTHINGISAWESOME with @thelonelyisland at the #OSCARS!!!” Tegan & Sara wrote on Twitter.

The show’s producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron added in a statement, “Tegan and Sara and Lonely Island?…..Everything Is Awesome, indeed. This is certainly an ‘Only on the Oscars’ moment.”

The twin sisters are joined on the soundtrack by an array of celebrated bands, including NONONO, The Bird and The Bee featuring Matt Berninger, Echosmith, Franz Ferdinand, Tanlines, and Guards.

Endless Love, which hits theaters on Valentine’s Day, stars Alex Pettyfer and Gabriella Wilde in a story about “a privileged girl and a charismatic boy whose instant desire sparks a love affair made only more reckless by parents trying to keep them apart.”

“The moment we heard ‘Everything Is Awesome’ we were on board to be part of The Lego Movie,” Tegan shared in a statement. “Getting to sing such a fun song and work with Mark Mothersbaugh and his team was a treat. The addition of The Lonely Island only made things even more awesome, and we can’t wait to see the movie!”

Macklemore keeps it cool in a leather jacket at Z100′s Jingle Ball 2013 held at Madison Square Garden on Friday (December 13) in New York City.

During his set, the 30-year-old rapper shared the stage with Ryan Lewis, Mary Lambert, Ray Dalton, and Tegan and Sara, while performing some of his hit songs, such as “Same Love” and “Can’t Hold Us.”

Fall Out Boy and Paramore were also performers at the concert.

The Voice‘s Season 4 runner-up Michelle Chamuel (not pictured), who performed her new single on the NBC show earlier in the week, was also spotted showing some love and support backstage for her close gal pal Mary.

Janelle Monae and Christina Perri hit the red carpet at the 2013 Billboard Women in Music event held at Capitale on Tuesday afternoon (December 10) in New York City.

The ladies were joined at the event by Tori Kelly, Tegan & Sara, and Bravo’s Andy Cohen, who interviewed Woman of the Year Pink on stage at the event.

Janelle was honored with the Rising Star Award that afternoon.

Katy Perry hits the stage for a sound check before performing at her Citi Presents Katy Perry’s: We Can Survive benefit concert on Wednesday evening (October 23) at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles.

That same night, the 28-year-old entertainer took part in an AMP 97.1 hosted meet and greet in celebration of her new album Prism. Also in attendance at the concert and meet and greet were Sara Bareilles, Bonnie McKee, Ellie Goulding, Kacey Musgraves, and Tegan and Sara.
