'The Four' Is Being Renewed for a Second Season!

The Four is coming back for more!

Fox’s music competition series will be returning for a second season, set to premiere during the summer, according to Variety.

The show is also Fox’s most watched new unscripted series in four years in the 18-49 demographic.

The Four is truly a next-generation show. It has pushed past the boundaries of traditional music competition series by focusing on recording artists in an epic battle to become a superstar. And for the winner, guided by music giants Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, DJ Khaled, Meghan Trainor and Republic Records, this is just the beginning. We’d like to thank our panel, our ringleader, Fergie, the contestants and our incredible production team for delivering concert-quality shows every week. And we look forward to pushing the boundaries even further in Season Two,” said Fox exec Rob Wade.

An announcement regarding the judges for Season Two is expected to come in the coming weeks.

The season finale of The Four airs on Thursday night (February 8).

“Republic Records is committed to a safe workplace environment where employees are treated fairly and respectfully. We have retained an outside law firm to conduct an independent investigation of this matter and have encouraged anyone who has relevant information to speak to the firm’s investigators. Mr. Walk has been placed on leave, and will remain in leave for the duration of the investigation,” a spokesman for Universal Music Group said in a statement.

He was also reportedly axed from The Four on the same day. While he will appear on Thursday night’s (February 1) pre-taped episode, he will not appear in next week’s live season finale according to Variety.

Charlie previously responded to an allegation made by Tristan Coopersmith earlier in the week: “It is very upsetting to learn of this untrue allegation made (by) someone who worked with me 15 years ago, without incident,” he said.
