Paul Wesley can’t stop laughing during the Vampire Diaries panel at 2016 San Diego Comic-Con on Saturday (July 23) in San Diego, Calif.

The 34-year-old actor, who celebrates his birthday today, joined Ian Somerhalder, Candice King, Kat Graham, Michael Malarkey, Zach Roerig and Matt Davis, as well as showrunner Julie Plec.

“Bout to go on stage! SDCC!!!” Paul shared on Instagram just after the show announced that season eight will be it’s last.

Kat Graham dons a fashionable hat and spectacles while speaking at the 2014 Vampire Diaries Convention at the Rio Hotel and Casino on Sunday (September 14) in Las Vegas.

The 25-year-old actress/singer was joined at the event by her co-stars Steven R. McQueen, Michael Trevino, and Zach Roerig.

Meanwhile, the episode stills for the upcoming season six premiere were just released!

Tyler (Trevino), who is human once again, has a run-in at a football tailgate that tests his ability to control his anger, while Matt (Roerig) worries that Jeremy (McQueen) is dealing with the loss of Bonnie (Graham) in a self-destructive way.

In the video, the stars learn that their characters have been killed off the hit series and they try and figure out why it is happening.

Ian Somerhalder answers fan questions during day two of The Vampire Diaries Q&A held at BloodyNightCon 4 Fan Event on Sunday (May 18) in Barcelona, Spain.

The 35-year-old actor was joined by his co-stars Zach Roerig, Michael Trevino, and Malese Jow, the latter of whom even got a proposal during the event!

“We will definitely see Ian Somerhalder and Kat Graham on the show,” Executive Producer Julie Plec confirmed to EW after their characters’ deaths. “I mean, there’s a million different ways that you can do that. But as far as in what context – how, why, and where? – that’s part of the mystery.”

She also addressed rumors that the show was ending after next season. “No. It’s not on our radar yet,” Julie said. “You could ask 10 different people that question and you’d get 10 different answers, in terms of how long the life of the show is. Warner Bros. would say, ’17 seasons!’ And I think I would say, ‘Seven!’ (Laughs) Presumably we’ll land somewhere closer to my wishes or theirs, depending on the circumstances.”

The Vampire Diaries returned last night on The CW. TVD premiered to great ratings, 3.48 million viewers, and was up nine percent in certain demographics! It was also the best premiere in two years for the series in women 18-34.
