OlderAshley Greene - MTV VMAs 2009
Twilight stunner Ashley Greene keeps it simple in black and gold at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards, held at the Radio City Music Hall in New York City on Sunday (September 13).
The 22-year-old actress will serve as MTV’s fashion correspondent during the show. The MTV live blog joked, “[Ashley's] hair is in a kind of Winehouse beehive, except much saner.”

This look is okay. Her makeup and hair look great. The dress not so much, something a little bit more upscale would have been ideal. I give her a C.

Better than the previous two hideous ensembles on this site – I give her a B. She’s got the right idea for her body type but she needs to make better sartorial selections.
if she was a couple of inches shorter i swear we’d have the same exact body aka thick-waisted, no curves, but toned legs and arms with a proportional chest. anyone who saw her…uh special photos….knows exactly what i’m talking about.
i don’t really know/care about the twilight stuff, but i look at her photos to see how she dresses to her body shape to see if i can make it work for me. this is not one of those times. she honestly has such a gorgeous face (like a younger marissa tomei) with very beautiful eyes that it really means something if an outfit distracts from it.
i feel her pain because it is honestly such an ordeal to try to find dresses/outfits that fit because even if you’re not a “bigger” girl, if your waist doesn’t go in you look thick from the side and you have to get much bigger tops/dresses. for people who don’t know what i mean, think about a 2D rectangle and an hourglass. if the dress is the hourglass, and you place the rectangle over it, the rectangle won’t fit within the hourglass in the middle, even if the top and bottom are the same. that’s what it’s like for women like me and ashley when trying on dresses.
anyway, she probably tried to make her waist look smaller with those ruffles, but it just added unnecessary bulk to her hips. plus, the shoes don’t match and top looks cheap. it would’ve been better if she stuff to a thicker waistband or different colored belt around her middle and a lighter top and darker bottom. or she could’ve worn something like a sexy mini dress but put a black leather jacket over it which woould’ve nipped in her middle and been very mtv-ish. or perhaps a dress with strong shoulders (which is very “in”…look at balmain) which would’ve made her waist look narrower.
anyway, i know this will be a tl;dr comment for most. just my humble opinion.

She looks like a chubby Amy Winehouse. Why do woman with larger thighs wear mini skirts as it only makes them look chunkier. And this is the fashion correspondent!!??? Funny!!!
i don’t hate ashley, but come on, where is her fashionista style ? this is just like dress up to clubbing or even worse for shopping time when you’re victoria beckham.
