OlderMichelle Obama Hula-Hoops for Healthy Kids
First Lady Michelle Obama takes part in a number of athletic activities, including Hula-Hooping, on the White House’s South Lawn yesterday to promote physical fitness at the Healthy Kids Fair on Wednesday (October 21).
The Washington Post reported that Michelle completed 142 Hula-Hoop hip swivels but had slightly less luck with double dutch jump rope.
The First Lady also told kids about her favorite food: “There’s nothing that the first family loves more than a good burger, right?” Michelle said. “And look, my favorite food in the whole wide world are french fries. I love them. Dearly. Deeply. I have a good relationship with french fries and I would eat them every single day if I could.”
“I tell my girls this: If you’re getting the right foods for most of the time, then when it’s time to have cake and french fries on those special occasions, then you balance it out.”

I love, love, love Michelle and the whole Obama family. I like the fact that Michelle is not too above actually getting involved and doing an active activity. She don’t stand on the sidelines watching others demonstrate. She and her husband get right in there with everyone else and that is something we have not seen in the White House with a first lady or president. It is quite refreshing.
I find them approachable and not sufferable bores. Bill Clinton was another who I thought was an approachable and semi-outgoing president but Hillary did not seem so approachable.

I agree with many of the posters that the belts got to go! They are never situated at her waist, but sit right underneath her chest, which just looks wrong.
Other than that, she’s a cool first lady.

She has a great message for children and the over so obese USA ..
