Lindsay Lohan Heads to Jail

Lindsay Lohan arrives at the Beverly Hills Court House on Tuesday (July 20) in Beverly Hills, Calif.

The 24-year-old actress surrendered to serve a 90-day jail sentence after violating her probation. Lindsay‘s father, Michael Lohan, also came by the court house to watch the proceedings. Lindsay will reportedly only serve 25% of the court imposed sentence due to overcrowding at the jail.

Last night, Lindsay expressed nervousness about beginning her sentence, tweeting, “the only ‘bookings’ that i’m familiar with are Disney Films, never thought that i’d be ‘booking’ into Jail… eeeks”.

“well- you haven’t lost your sense of humour,” Linds‘ ex-girlfriend Samantha Ronson replied.

You know, all of this Lindsey Lohan trainwreck crap is pretty hilarious, but I genuinely feel bad for her, I really do. Who wants to go to prison? Who wants to go through the DTs to get off drugs? Her father was an alcoholic ******* who went to prison. Her mother pushed her into the spotlight, pushed her into nightclubs, her mother probably gave her her first taste of cokaina. They’re both enablers, and now Lindsey is paying the consequences. She needs to get away from her parents, get a real acting agent and go and live with nana Lohan.

WTF is the point in giving her a 90 day jail sentence if she only serves 25% of it!! Hate the way the law treats “celebs” differently…

#3… Get your panties out of a bunch. It is common for non-violent offenders to server only 25% of their sentence.

The jails in LA country are extremely over crowded plus they are a country who has no money. Being released early is common for non violent offenders.

She’s not a bad person by any means. She’s just in the public eye so she’s going to be a target of ridicule. Yep, she’s made her bed and now has to lie in it. I hope this will be a sobering (no pun intended) experience for her and that she realizes you can’t mess around with your life and the live’s of other’s the way she has in the past. Good luck lindsay and hang in there. Do the right thing when you get out.

You feel bad for her? While I agree, that her parents were a poor example for her. A lot of people grew up in way less ideal situations and are not making a mess of their lives, like she is.
She had a career millions would want, enough money to live off of forever, and at one point a decent reputation. She ruined that, not her parents. Kids can blame their parents for their basic values and lack of consequences and knowing right/wrong, but you grow up. She’s not a child anymore!
You feel bad for someone who drove under the influence? Thank God she didn’t hurt anyone. Then you might also have to feel bad for the innocent people she could have slammed into.

Of course she’s only going to serve only half of her sentence due to overcrowding. UGH, I am so sick of seeings these “Celebrities” serving only like 20 days of a 90 day sentence. Overcrowding at the jail…why don’t they build a new jail if the one they keep sending these people to are always overcrowded? And it makes me sick that these people take this as a joke, I mean look at Paris Hilton, she said she was going to donate to charaties and do work overseas, has she done any of it….NO! And then she got busted with pot but then was let go…pathetic.

    Kate Says:

It f*cking sucks that she gets to spend only 25% of her jail sentence. If she wear an ordinary person like me and you she would have served her entire sentence! I guess the law is different for celebrities

its the only way she’s going to get clean … needs some HARD CORE rehab too after jail.

    jaye Says:

In crowded jail systems it’s common for ‘criminals’ to serve just a fraction if their sentence for non-violent crimes, even the ‘ordinary people’. Hey, but take heart; even 23 days of having to face her own thoughts should be enough for her. People won’t be able to come to see her any time she wants. She will have a schedule, the extensions will have to go, she’ll have at least 20 hrs a day to herself, 3 meals a day, a nice uniform and a bath every other day. She will be allowed to continue taking her prescription drugs; frankly some of those drugs you have to be weened off, you can’t just stop taking them cold turkey. They probably will have her evaluated for the medical necessity of those drugs when she goes to rehab; she’s been taking some of them for years. I hope she uses the time productively and really commit herself to getting better.

it is common in most countries to do less time if ur a non violent offender here in greece u can do less time if ur behaviour durin the sentence is excellent i dont know if its like this in the us too shes not treated differently at all as far as this is concerned anyway i wish the best for her n i love how her ex is so supportive i hope she makes better choices in the future because the girl does have talent mean girls freaky friday n the parent trap when she was little r among my favorite movies
