Michelle Williams: 'Meek's Cutoff' Trailer!

Check out the trailer for Michelle Williams‘s new 19th century drama Meek’s Cutoff!

Synopsis: A wagon team of three families hires Stephen Meek (Bruce Greenwood) to guide them over the Cascade Mountains during the Oregon Trail. Claiming to know a short cut, Meek leads them on an unmarked path only to become lost. The emigrants must face the scourges of hunger, thirst and their own lack of faith in each other’s instincts for survival. When a Native American wanderer crosses their path, they’re torn between trusting a guide who has proven himself unreliable and a man who has always been seen as the natural enemy.

The flick, which hits theaters April 8, also stars Paul Dano, Shirley Henderson, and Zoe Kazan.

    OVERRATED! Enough Already

Who would’ve thought the actress who played slutty Jen from a show on the WB called Dawson’s Creek would turn out to be a credible and talented actress?

She’s the only good thing that came out of that show, and maybe Joshua Jackson, too.

    Why she like this?

I’m here for Michelle Williams the singer, not the actress.

Oh, I remember reading about this story of early settlers. I think they end up eating the dead to try to survive? Anyways, sounds interesting and I will be watching the movie for the story, not for Williams, which highly overrated IMO.

  • Jazz

I think we can all guess the ending to this movie, “You have died of dysentery”….

Could be interesting. Michelle Williams is very beautiful, love her face. Her acting can be a little bit too stone-faced sometimes but you know sometimes it works for the part and sometimes it doesn’t. If she’s not careful it can get a bit boring and meaningless, but for this kind of film it might work.

The music annoyed me a little bit. It sounded too much like the score to “There Will Be Blood”, which Dano was also a part of and which also deals with a similar era and setting. I think it’s a mistake to sort of steal the atmosphere of that movie, even though the stories are different, because then it won’t feel original and people might not be as interested in watching it. That’s just my opinion.

  • Her claim to fame

Michelle is not beautiful. She is cute sometimes but that’s it.
She had a child with a famous actor. That is her claim to fame.
This movie is very depressing but I give Michelle credit for trying to make the best out of playing this character.
