Gerard Butler suits up for the 2012 amfAR Cinema Against AIDS Gala on Thursday (May 24) at Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Antibes, France.
The 42-year-old Scottish actor (in Dolce&Gabbana) came out to support the event, which was held during the 2012 Cannes Film Festival to raise funds for AIDS research.
Gerard recently told the Associated Press why he’s avoiding premieres during this year’s festival.
“You can’t really go down other people’s press lines,” he explained. “You have to make sure you’re politically correct. It’s a bit of a bummer.”

Handsome in a tux, but I wish he trimmed his hair a little and shaved his neck.
I liked his short hair days (ugly truth, law abiding citizen), why does he keep it long like this?
@max: Easy. No maintenance. But he will need to change for his next few roles. He is probably milking the look since it is so easy.

@ConserveWater: No, Butler has no taste in women, he’s happy as long as they are up for a bonk anywhere, including porta-potties like at Coachella. I have never seen him in photos at an event with a well groomed date.

Noni…what channel and what time will Gerard be with Cat? I hope I can see it. I love Gerard with long or short hair…but I prefer his dark, dark locks….And…in the poster for “Olympus/White House….why don’t they let his eyes be their gray,green,blue color…In this poster and in those ads he did, his eyes looked broown.

I would think the shorter hair is easier! I am actually looking forward to the shorter hair.
Unlike some of you I am totally in love with his current hair style, parted in the middle to give a little wisp of hair on the sides. As long as he does a good job shaving his neck he looks fresh and clean. I think he looks great.
He will always look great no matter what.

HAHA I think you are correct..grey it is!!
Yeah. Gerry is probably almost completely grey. I remember a soccer match from last year, he had more than an inch of grey roots all over his head. I think it would look beautiful if he let himself go grey. Especially with his eye colour. But what he SHOULDN’T do it go back to that awful, too dark, Caeser (spelling?) like, boarderline crew cut. Not the most flattering look again his face. I prefer this current look to that….any day.
