Rachel recently chatted with Deadline about how her life has changed after winning an Oscar for her work in The Constant Gardner.

“Immediately afterward, I was offered jobs by interesting directors, including Alejandro Amenábar. Peter Jackson offered me a role. I didn’t have to meet people. They just offered me jobs, these big fancy directors. People believe in you more after you’ve won an Oscar, but it’s up to you what choices you make and how that goes,” Rachel shared.

One of the few artists who deserved the Oscar. Otherwise there are so many talented actor/actresses out there who don’t get a chance to show their talent and miss out because some attention seeking desperate people with their ‘celebrity’ status get the chance and ruin the movie. On a side note, the whole of Hollywood can’t even hold a candle to the talent of the cast of Game of Thrones.

Her performance in ” The Deep Blue Sea” was the year’s best. She deserves another Oscar.

Love Rachel Weisz, she one of the few versatile actors left who can really act.

And then there r the few who would’ve gotten the same roles without one anyways like Christian Bale.
If he didn’t win an Oscar I doubt he would not be offered the same roles otherwise. He’s just that good.
He doesn’t need one, but I’m glad he won of course.

Rachel Weisz… pure beauty, talent and class. She and Cate Blanchett.

@JIM

Is there something wrong with you?

She’s 42? Holy cow. This woman is beyond beautiful, eloquent in speech, and one of the few brilliant actors of our generation. I’m disappointed she’s not pegged for a lot of the awards this season.

I don’t think it should b such a shock that someone 42 would look good and be beautiful. You expect 42 to be an ancient decrepit borderline decomposing person? Ageism is so out of control and u don’t even realize in ur comments how u manifest it.

This is class. Of course Gerard Butler would never date a woman with class. Daniel Craig is the best.

One of the most beautiful women in Hollywod

Cate Blanchett is about 3000 times better than Rachel as an actor. Please don’t compare them!

@Choc:

Cate Blanchett is not even on the same planet as Rachel Weisz in term of acting and looks.

Rachel Weisz not only is extraordinary beautiful but she’s a extraordinary actress as well. Love her:)
@Choc:

Never liked Cate Blanchett, she overacts way too much for her own good.
