Jonathan Rhys-Meyers: 'Mortal Instruments' Exclusive Poster!

Jonathan Rhys-Meyers lets us look deep into his eyes in his character poster for The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones, provided exclusively to JustJared.com.

The 35-year-old actor stars in the film as Valentine Morgenstern alongside Lily Collins, Jamie Campbell Bower, Kevin Zegers, Lena Headey, Jemima West, and others.

The film is based on the popular book of the same name and is set in contemporary New York City. A seemingly ordinary teenager, Clary Fray (Collins), discovers she is the descendant of a line of Shadowhunters, a secret cadre of young half-angel warriors locked in an ancient battle to protect our world from demons. After the disappearance of her mother (Headey), Clary must join forces with a group of Shadowhunters, who introduce her to a dangerous alternate New York called Downworld, filled with demons, warlocks, vampires, werewolves and other deadly creatures.
