Philip Seymour Hoffman Completes Detox for Narcotic Abuse

Philip Seymour Hoffman has completed a detox program for a drug problem that he wanted to end, according to TMZ.

The 45-year-old Oscar-winning actor has struggled with substance abuse in the past but recovered twenty-three years ago. He fell off the wagon more than a year ago.

Philip reportedly told the site that he slowly started using prescription pills before moving to snorting heroin, which lasted a week before he realized he needed help and checked himself into the detox facility.

After spending 10 days in the facility, Philip checked out last Friday and is already back working on a new movie set in Europe.
