'Ender's Game' Tops Weekend Box Office!

Ender’s Game has topped this weekend’s box office with a solid $28 million opening, according to THR!

The film stars Harrison Ford, Hailee Steinfeld, and Abigail Breslin, and was budgeted at $110 million, which may prove difficult to return considering Thor: The Dark World opened with $109 million overseas, and enters the domestic race next weekend.

Coming in at No. 2 was Johnny Knoxville‘s latest Jackass film Bad Grandpa, which held strong with $20.5 million, bringing its domestic total to $62.1 million.

Taking third place was Last Vegas, starring Robert De Niro, Michael Douglas, Morgan Freeman, and Kevin Kline, with a better-than-expected $16.5 million.

Rounding out the top five were Free Birds, featuring the voices of Owen Wilson, Woody Harrelson, and Amy Poehler, and George Glooney and Sandra Bullock‘s thriller Gravity, earning $16.2 million and $13.1 million, respectively.
