Charlie Sheen Nominated 'Two & a Half Men' Crew for Ice Bucket Challenge

Charlie Sheen made it rain on himself for his ALS Ice Bucket Challenge video… except he didn’t use ice at all.

The 48-year-old actor dumped $10,000 worth of hundred dollar bills on himself instead and said he is going to donate the money to the ALS Association.

“Oh wait… that’s not ice. That is $10,000 in cash, which I am donating to the ALS Foundation because let’s face it, ice is going to melt, but this money is actually going to help people,” Charlie says in the video released to TMZ. “So, I am hereby calling out Jon Cryer, Ashton Kutcher, and Chuck Lorre to identically do what I just did. Come on guys. It’s for a great cause.”

In case you didn’t realize, those three guys are the ones who are currently behind the CBS comedy Two and a Half Men, which Charlie used to star on!

Sorry Charlie but you are bragging. Ashton has done the challenge yesterday with his That 70′s Show friends. He does not need to reply to you and brag about having money too.

  • Nice

Haha Charlie is hilarious…he stood out by doing this…

@DONATE MONEY DONT BRAG: @DONATE MONEY DONT BRAG: Who cares about Ashton Kutcher? Here is about Charlie Sheen not Ashton flop Kutcher.

  • GoodIdea

He did a good thing, asked 3 folks to do it too, and I think it was cool. No harm in donating and asking them to do the same. Great cause. Props.

Charlie maybe crazy as hell but this is great! I was getting tired of the ice bucket thing but this puts it too a whole new level. Someone call out the million dollar a episode Big Bang Theory guys.

    Hey Charlie.
Those phony boloney dollar bills are going to melt away in value pretty soon.
Don’t tell me that you didn’t hear about that freak earthquake swarm up in Ice Land the other day.

  • Aw

This is actually a better move for celebrities like him who probably don’t have that much fans to actually donate for their sake. The actual pledging of the money is what matters and not the act of throwing ice all over yourself and calling out other people to do it. Let’s just hope he really donates those dollar bills though.

  • Well

Charlie has always been a generous person, even in the midst of his craziness. That is a great way to stop all the ice dumping stupidity and have celebrities put their earnings where they say their hearts are. They always look to us to donate and then they just do stupid acts to make us donate our money and they give none (sometimes).

I am sure the people who are dumping the ice water are also donating. I assure you some of them are donating tens of thous of dollars, people like Bill Gates, and Oprah, and others.
They are not just dumping ice and water, they are donating, too.

  • Aw

@guest: We can assure that most of them are donating but not all. Not all.

People are giving him slack for this but until he did it I actually didn’t know what it was about. My knowledge of the “ice bucket challenge” came from my 13 year old niece. Her and her friends do challenges on facebook all the time and challenge people to do it. I’ve seen them cram handfuls of warheads into their mouth and chug gallons of milk. And then this came around. I’d heard that a few celebs I’d never really heard of were doing it as well. I thought it was just some dumb kid thing that somehow spread to famous people dumb kids admire. So I ignored it. I watched my nieces video and she never mentioned ALS.
She said the rules are if you don’t do it you have to give money to a charity of the person that nominated you’s choosing. If you dumped the water you got out of paying.

Clearly there’s some misunderstanding among the younger crowd. Which had spread to my old butt. So say whatever you want about Charlie he brought the awareness to at least one person.

He is more than just cool!!!! I love the way he did it!!! It’s now how you do it, it’s the reason you do it!! You go Charlie!!!
