Idina Menzel Hits the 'Let it Go' High Note for Japan on NYE!
Idina Menzel didn’t just sing in Times Square on New Year’s Eve – earlier in the day she sang “Let It Go” live via satellite for Japan’s NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen special!
While it wasn’t perfect, the 43-year-old singer hit the high note at the end of the song, which she had trouble with later that night on Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve 2015 special.

Idina unjustly faced a lot of backlash from the media for not giving a perfect performance even though she was singing live in below freezing temperatures and is performing eight shows a week on Broadway currently. She gave a perfect response to critics by saying “I am more than the notes I hit.”
As a bonus, Idina performed “For the First Time in Forever” alongside a Japanese entertainer as Anna on the NHK special. Watch the video below!
