Robert Pattinson Talks About Turning 30 & Getting Older

Robert Pattinson is missing most of his signature scruff while making his way through LAX Airport on Monday evening (February 16) in Los Angeles.

The 28-year-old actor recently chatted with Reuters and was asked where he wants to be in ten years.

“I know just after last year, (with) two of my movies, one fell apart and the other one got pushed to this year and I ended up waiting for a job for ages and I was like, ‘I’m never having a year like that again. I’m going to be a lot more prolific in my productivity rate,’” Robert said. “I think it’s suddenly getting up to 30 as well and you’re just like ‘Argh! I need to do loads of stuff!’ So I’m definitely going to be much more productive.”

FYI: Robert is traveling with a Rimowa suitcase.

He is not sounding like an actor in demand…

  • guest

He will be 29 May 13th. I admire him for not just taking anything to film. I like the roles he picks. I will always support his films.

  • cyclesn

They basically have no control in their profession; even the top a listers can’t really guarantee success with every film.

  • forrest gump

‘Alzheimer’ is getting closer on him.

  • Me1

Sounds like you have comprehension issues. He can’t sign up to other films if he’s already attached to other things. Two of the films he was attached to were moved back in his schedule. One of those ended up losing finance at the start of filming. I hardly see why that translates to not being in demand. Plus, if you’ve listened to anything he’s said, he’s clearly steering his career in a particular direction. He has no desire to be Hemsworth or Tatum.

Its good to have him back in LA

  • Brenda Hamilton

He is a very ungrateful guy. He should be thankful for any work that he gets. He needs to pay more attention to his career and less attention to fkas.

  • villa

There was nothing ungrateful in anything he said. But I see your focus is on associating anything that sounds negative on his gf.

  • Young at Heart

Glad to see he is back in LA and alone. Time by 30 to slow down with the party people.

  • Emma Bauer

    Roberto <3

Even though he has been the focus of Twilight haters and attempts to deride him in the gang mentality of bashing he has overcome that and given them the finger in having gotten to work with some of the best directors in the business. More thought provoking, meaty films and the type Rob himself loves. Love to see him doing well.

Jupiter Ascending, Mortdecai, Rock of Ages, all studio supported films with those who are celebrated and look that can’t guarantee.

    Quality.

Chris Hemsworth is a manly man celebrated and not derided and he just had Blackhat bomb.

  • Emma Bauer

He doesn’t owe you anything in his personal life for your messed up fantasy.

  • dalovelee

I don’t have a comprehension issue. The way he gave responded in the interview gives off an actor not in demand. If he states he needs to be more prolific and he was waiting for jobs it comes across as not in demand. When one is in demand they are not sitting and waiting for jobs.

  • Brenda Hamilton

I did not say he did Emma Bauer. He’s the one always complaining.

  • Brenda Hamilton

Is that all you can say?

  • vlr

    Agree

  • vlr

Wonder why he is here? His girlfriend is in London for gigs.

  • vlr

I’m glad he shaved the beard! He looks so much better without it!

  • Hot Rob

Love Rob in anything. Still the best and most handsome. Welcome back to the USA.

  • Karen

    Still the best.

  • Muse96

I believe I read that he said he was preferring Ca. to England, I’d rather be there too. Plus, he has more work in Ca., and he said he was going to be more productive this year. I think it’s a smart idea to take advantage of all his opportunities and not just movies. I love the Dior film.

  • GWENDA WAKELY

Must say he looked like his old self .He also looked better with out the ring nosed girlfriend, hanging all over him, he looked like he was in control of him self and enjoying it.

  • Carmen Hodges

I must agree with Me1. An actor not in demand would not have the ability to state they are going to be more productive in the future, as they would have no idea what their future holds. Robert will be in demand for years to come, especially when ppl such as yourself can see him as an actor, and not just as Edward Cullen.

  • dalovelee

Well you just proved my point with your very own reference to him ( not my reference but yours) as seeing him as Edward Cullen. If he were more in demand and making more note worthy films with memorable characters he wouldn’t be just known as Edward Cullen now would he? Again an actor in demand is making lots of films building a cache of varied characters.

  • Kris

I agree. It’s getting to know how the business works. He was in Twilight for 5 years so that was like a backup for other films he could fit into that schedule. Call it bad luck that one of the films he had didn’t work out and the other moved to this year. It’s merely knowing how to work the business angles and he said he wouldn’t let that happen again. So, Live and learn. He had a lead role in Water for Elephants and it was a good film. He seems to want to take smaller parts when I think he could handle a lead role, but who am I to know. He’ll do fine.

  • Kris

If I put 5 years of hard work into a film I wouldn’t reject it. I’d be proud that it was part of my experience and I would go do other things just as he has. He proved he could do other things with Water for Elephants and Cosmopolis. It seems that they consensus is that he doesn’t have enough acting experience. He seems to get a lot of advice from a lot of people. He’s a good actor, he’ll figure it out.

  • Kris

He wasn’t complaining. He was acknowledging what happened and said he learned from it and he’d manage it differently and be even more productive in 2015. He has so far.

  • Kris

He did say that he wanted to have kids when he was younger. He’s going to be 29 this year, so he’d better get going. haha

  • Carmen Hodges

    I agree with you Kris.

  • Carmen Hodges

The man has 5 movies coming out later this and early next year. What the fuck is he supposed to do, a movie a month????
