Freida Pinto Felt Like She Was 'Touched By God' at the Oscars

Freida Pinto looks so pretty in purple while attending a screening of her new movie Desert Dancer at the Museum of Modern Art on Tuesday (April 7) in New York City.

The 30-year-old actress was joined at the event by her co-star Reece Ritchie and journalist Katie Couric.

In a new piece she wrote for Los Angeles Magazine, Freida talked about attending the Oscars for the first time when her movie Slumdog Millionaire was nominated.

“None of what happened was expected; the next thing I know, I’m walking down the red carpet at the Oscars in my John Galliano dress. The ceremony was so beautiful. To feel the energy in that room�”it was like being touched by God,” Freida said.

FYI: Freida is wearing an Elie Saab Haute Couture dress and an Anya Hindmarch clutch.
