LeAnn Rimes Inspired Country Singer Mickey Guyton's Career
LeAnn Rimes picks up some lunch to go while out in Los Angeles on Friday afternoon (June 5).
Speaking with The Boot, singer Mickey Guyton opened up about the 32-year-old “Borrowed” singer inspiring her own career.
“[I was] already stuck on [Rimes]…I started doing solos in the church choir or when the school had a talent show. I’d bring my boom box, and I’d sing ‘I Will Always Love You,’” Mickey recalled.
She added, “I was just mesmerized by big-voiced women. So from LeAnn, I started listening to Dolly Parton and Patsy Cline and Patty Loveless and Reba McEntire and Faith Hill and Martina McBride.”
FYI: Mickey is currently on tour with Brad Paisley after performing at the Grand Ole Opry in January.
