Steve Jobs' Katherine Waterston Didn't Want to Be a Child Actor
Katherine Waterston looks gorgeous while walking the red carpet at the Steve Jobs premiere during the closing night gala at the 2015 BFI London Film Festival on Sunday (October 18) in London, England.
The 35-year-old actress stars in the new movie and she is also on the cover of Town & Country‘s November 2015 issue, on newsstands now! Here is what she had to share with the mag:
On her career never feeling like smooth sailing: “About 10 minutes before I found out that I had landed Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them [J.K. Rowling's crazily anticipated Harry Potter spinoff], I got a residual check in the mail for zero dollars. On the check it said ‘Advice Slip.’ And I was like, ‘Well, what’s the advice? Go into another line of work?’”
When asked if she wanted to be a child actor: “Oh, god, no. I was on the set with my father [actor Sam Waterston] in Louisiana the summer he filmed The Man in the Moon with Reese Witherspoon. I must have been around 10, and I remember feeling some sort of fascination with what Reese was getting to do. But I also felt like it was very separate from me. I didn’t know to want to be doing that.”
FYI: Katherine is wearing a Nicholas Oakwell Couture dress, Nicholas Kirkwood shoes, and Felt London jewelry at the premiere. She is wearing a Gucci dress on the magazine cover.
