Bataclan Owners Release Statement After Paris Terror Attacks

The owners of Le Bataclan, the concert venue that was the site of the deadly terrorist attacks in Paris last week, have released their first statement since the horrific events.

“No words can express the level of sadness we feel. Our thoughts go to the victims, to those injured and to their loved ones,” the owner said (via Rolling Stone).

“Many of you want to come to the Bataclan, but unfortunately, the authorities still need to work on [the] site,” the venue’s owners added. “We will keep you informed as soon as it’s possible for you to come and mourn in front of the concert hall. Thank you for your support, which deeply affects us.”

U2 stopped by the venue the night after the attacks to pay their respects.

A concert was being performed by the Eagles of Death Metal during the attack. 89 music fans were killed at the venue and more than 100 were injured.

We continue to send our thoughts and condolences to everyone affected by the tragedy.
