'Making A Murderer' Subject Steven Avery Releases a Statement

Steven Avery, the subject of Netflix’s controversial docu-series Making A Murderer, just released a statement from the prison where he is currently serving a life sentence.

A reporter from WISN 12 wrote a letter to the 53-year-old felon, asking for his comments on the Netflix series which documents his problematic relationship with the police.

Steven maintained his innocence and wrote, “The real killer is still out there. Who is he stalking now? I am really innocent of this case and that is the truth!!! The truth will set me free!!!!!!!”

He also implied that the documentary makers paid his former girlfriend Jodi to speak out against him, saying, “How much money Jodi get to talk bad!”

Steven mentioned that he is willing to do an interview, but the Department of Corrections explained that they will not allow interviews.
