Justin Bieber Calls Fans' Screaming Obnoxious During Concert

Justin Bieber is asking fans to listen a little more closely when he speaks at concerts and to tone down all the screaming.

During a Purpose Tour show on Tuesday (October 18) in England, the 22-year-old entertainer stopped telling a story to ask fans to calm down.

“Can you guys do me a favor? Can you guys just relax for about two seconds? I get it, I get it, but I’m, like, 2 feet away from you. And I can hear you. I appreciate all the love, it’s amazing. But can you show it in a different way? Screaming is just so obnoxious,” Justin explained.

He later added, “I get it, it’s been in our blood and it’s ingrained — you go to a concert and you scream and stuff. But if you could just scream after the song, enjoy the song, and then take a chill pill for a second and listen to me speak. I don’t feel like I’m being heard sometimes, and it gets a little frustrating. When I’m speaking, can you guys not scream at the top of your lungs?”

I think Lil’ Biebs needs to take a break. He seems to be losing his grasp on what his celebrity status is and how it came into being.
It’s a concert. It’s populated by the little teen girls who made him famous in the first place. It’s roughly as loud as a jetliner taking off in your living room.
Perhaps he’d be more comfortable spouting poetry or sage life advice in a coffee house somewhere.
He sounds like a cranky little old man at the ripe age of 22.

he is right! I love Justin! such a good person.

The little doofus is right, though. He’s an idiot but this time he’s right and kudos to him for speaking up for himself.

  • Gina

I actually agree with Justin. Why go see someone if you’re gonna scream over them?

  • Alph

LOL he does sound like a little ole man and hasn’t quite worked out that the girls screaming and his being on the stage are linked. The day will come when he’ll be wishing they were still screaming.

  • KrisPaysForPress

    Exactly
Unless he does some serious growing up and figures out how to evolve his teeny bopper status, in 10 years he’ll be featured on one of those ‘Where Are They Now?’ segments.
He’ll be tending bar in some college town boring the kids with how he used to be famous.

Poor thing will miss the screams once they stop… Does he fancy himself as modern-day Bob Dylan or Leonard Cohen?

Justin is 22-you can’t be 20 on sugar mountain-sorry Biebs-but it is good he sounded like an adult and a nice one-he knows his audience is tweens I’m sure-after 22 the tween idol thing gets a little creepy if it doesn’t bother you-check out how Justin Timberlake survived the transition-if he goes on sabbatical in strange and exotic places with an open heart and mind-NOT drinking, drugging and pussy hounded with his dad and a crew of yes man users-a pilgrimage and has little to no social media- keeps them guessing then in a couple of years he gets a sweet cameo on something edgey like NPH did and things can start over-he has the money to do that-ya know the play that Kimmode is trying to force right now except she can’t stay off social media she has locked herself away and is obsessively following people under a different user name drooling for the moment she makes her “big re-appearance” -but no one wants her to come back is the thing she is just over done-and is still ghosting thru friends and is in debt with massive lawsuits coming down on her maybe some criminal charges as well-see she needs to just go away-Beibs just needs a break especially after Kourtney used him for sex revenge and then kimmode and Kuntye rubbed all up on him to get some $$$-thats about the time Kuntye was begging for investment cash-and they were real close and then not so much

    Come on…

I seldom even go to concerts anymore (especially if indoors) because you cannot even hear the music for all the screaming. And it doesn’t even matter who the artist is — their fans will scream at the very top of their lungs.

  • RRozsa

How did you manage to type all that without a SINGLE period at the end of a sentence?

Sorry Justin. You know the Beatles and Stones went through the same thing and never complained. They never asked their fans to stop. Probably because they knew they’re music was actually good. If his fans pay for their over priced ticket to listen to shit music then they every right to scream and yell.

And Person. You think Beibs is a good person? I guess you picked up on that from watching him handle himself publicly. Oh wait…….

are you in witness protection from punctuation?

I remember being at a CSN concert years ago, and Crosby stopped the song to ask people in the audience to quiet down. I get it.

  • Carole Raybourn

The Beatles simply quit performing live.

  • Carole Raybourn

Funny you referenced Neil Young. I’m a huge fan of his, been to many concerts. At one, the audience pissed him off and he simply walked off stage. No refunds, no excuses. Rickie Lee Jones got mad when audience members were yelling song requests and told them to shut the fuck up. Yep, I was there and heard it. And Joni Mitchell got really angry when she opened for Bob Dylan and the audience kept hollering for him. Heard that first hand too. Artists, however you define them, often want to be heard.

  • KrisPaysForPress

In certain circumstances I can as well. I think if you’re in the teeny bopper genre fan wise though, you should know better. This is nothing new. Look at the footage of the Beatles in concert back in the day, Elvis, etc.
I have a feeling Bieber has outgrown his fanbase though. He might want to step back and reevaluate rather than alienating the people who have contributed to his success.
Man, CSN…I’ll bet that was an amazing concert.
