After you finish the fourth and final episode of Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life, you’re going to be begging for more episodes. So… is another season to come?

Everyone is freaking out about the “last four words” of the series because of the massive cliffhanger it ended the show on, so fans are hoping more episodes are to come.

One good sign is that Netflix denotes the episodes as being part of “season one.”

Alexis Bledel was asked by Entertainment Tonight to comment on the possibility of continuing the series. “It all depends on the story,” she responded. “And I don’t know, I feel so grateful to get to do [Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life] that I’m not even looking forward necessarily at the prospect of doing more. I also feel like it’s such a special story that I don’t want to exploit it, or do too much, you know?”

Scott Patterson, who plays Luke seems to be open to another season. “It’s be nice to do it every year. Maybe every two years, do a three-month thing, do four more chapters. It was easy to do. It was fun. It was really rewarding and people got a sense that if this was going to be the last thing that we now have some closure,” he told THR.

Amy Sherman-Palladino, the show’s creator and executive producer, is not thinking about another season right now. “We really had a very specific journey in our minds and we fulfilled the journey. So to us, this is the piece that we wanted to do. And the whole thought about, is there more, is there more, is there more – this has to go out into the universe now. We’ve got to put this to bed,” she told THR. “And then whatever happens, happens.”
