Chris Pratt Takes Back Comments About Blue Collar America

Chris Pratt is speaking out to take back comments he made about blue collar American not being represented in Hollywood.

The 37-year-old actor was criticized when he said that “the voice of the average, blue-collar American isn’t necessarily represented in Hollywood.”

“I don’t see personal stories that necessarily resonate with me, because they’re not my stories,” Chris told Men’s Fitness. “I think there’s room for me to tell mine, and probably an audience that would be hungry for them.”

“I really feel there’s common ground out there that’s missed because we focus on the things that separate us,” he added. “You’re either the red state or the blue state, the left or the right. Not everything is politics. And maybe that’s something I’d want to help bridge, because I don’t feel represented by either side.”

Chris took to Twitter after the quote spread to say it was stupid of him to say this.

LOL I guess someone told him to watch a tv show called MOM. Anyway he has the power. Stop making these action hero movies and make a blue collar movie and see how many people come out to watch it.

Ugh! The more I hear from Chris Pratt, the more I dislike him.

And his PR team bails him out of another sticky situation.
This guy needs to stop talking & just be grateful he’s made it to this level of success.

I like how on some other blog, they were like ummm didn’t YOU represent blue collar workers on Parks and Rec. And his wife plays a waitress on Mom, her character’s mom is an apartment maintenance worker. Like really dude, come on.

Also….Not everything is politics…. really? Tell that to every woman, minority, member of the LGBTQ community, the poor, the disabled, the sick and the list goes on. Everything IS politics and that’s the problem in this country, people know more about the Kardashians than they did/do about their local, state and federal government. It’d be great if every person who votes and lives in this country actually paid attention to what’s happening in this country and voted more than just every 4 years for president.

We need to 1. Bring civics back to the school system and 2. Demand our media start telling us unbiased, truthful stories, instead of the “if it bleeds, it leads” crap (i.e. true, literal liberal media, which is relegated to the radio and a few internet sites and no, I’m not talking about HuffPo, has been talking about what a physical, emotional and sexual abusive man Bill O’Reilly is and the women he’d sexually abused and paid off, yet it only came out a month or 2 ago in the mainstream) because they want ratings and advertiser money. We can thank Ronald Reagan for abolishing the Fairness Doctrine, which helped usher in the likes of Fox “News”.

His response was the perfect privileged, straight, white male response. I’m not represented, I’m oppressed, no one knows me, likes me, wah wah wah.
