Will Ferrell Reprises His Role as President George W. Bush to Slam Trump at 'Not The White House Correspondents' Dinner'
Will Ferrell is bringing back one of his signature Saturday Night Live impressions!
The 49-year-old actor hit the stage at Samantha Bee’s Not the White House Correspondents’ Dinner dressed as former President George W Bush on Saturday night (April 29) at the DAR Constitution Hall in Washington DC.
For the longest time I was considered the worst president of all time – that has changed,” Will said as Bush. “I needed eight years, a catastrophic flood, a war built on a lie and an economic disaster. The new guy only needed a hundred days.”
Will went on trash President Donald Trump by saying that he “can’t handle the heat” of the White House and runs down to Mar-a-Lago every chance he gets.
Will then went on to praise journalists for remaining strong in their industry.
“It’s like being on the titanic…” Will said. “The iceberg is coming, and you guys are hanging on to your journalistic integrity, playing your violin as the ship goes down. You should do what they’re doing over at Fox and Friends: dressing up as women and children and stealing the lifeboats.”
Samantha Bee’s Not the White House Correspondents’ Dinner airs on TBS tonight at 10/9c.
