Kendrick Lamar's Album 'Damn.' Has Reached Platinum Status!

Kendrick Lamar has a big reason to celebrate this weekend – his new album Damn. has been certified platinum!

The new album debuted last month at number one with the biggest sales week of the year so far with 603,000 album equivalents in its first week.

The album has now moved over one million album equivalents. This is Kendrick‘s third album to hit platinum status following 2012′s good kid, m.A.A.d city and 2015′s To Pimp a Butterfly.

Kendrick also recently hit number one on the Billboard Hot 100 with his song “Humble.”
