Katy Perry Delays 'Witness' Tour, Announces Opening Acts

Katy Perry has announced a small delay in her Witness tour’s original North American dates.

Originally, the 32-year-old entertainer was set to kick off her tour on September 7. Now, Katy will depart on September 19.

“Due to unavoidable production delays, major elements of my tour stage design could not be available for me to rehearse on until this week,” Katy said in a statement. “I’ll be spending the next few weeks taking the time to properly prepare the show to be an experience I am proud to share with you. I’m sorry for any inconvenience this causes, but hope everyone who sees the show will agree it was worth the wait. My first show on WITNESS: The Tour will be in Montreal on September 19.”

In addition, Katy announced the openers for her tour dates! Noah Cyrus will join the tour on September 19 – November 1, followed by Purity Ring on November 7 – December 20 and Carly Rae Jepsen on January 5 – February 5.
