Dick Enberg Dead - Legendary Sportscaster Dies at 82

Dick Enberg has died at the age of 82.

The legendary play-by-man announcer, who is considered one of the most famous voices in sports history, passed away at his home on Thursday (December 21) in La Jolla, California, as confirmed by his family according to TMZ.

The family believes he died from a heart attack while getting ready to leave the house for a flight.

Dick‘s voice is synonymous with sports coverage – he covered ten Super Bowls and 28 Wimbledons alone, as well as several NCAA basketball championship games.

For his work, he was honored by the Pro Football Hall of Fame, the Basketball Hall of Fame – and he also has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
